| Boshan District is located in the middle of Shandong, the southwest of Zibo city, which covers an area of 682 km2 with a population of 480,000.
It is one of the open cities of Shandong province, widely known as city of the ceramic colored glaze, mechanics, electronics, and pump industry as well as city of industry, commerce and culture in Shandong.
Boshan is an advanced export forefront of Zibo city which has a good number of the World 500 Strong Enterprises investing in the Boshan. The district has the outstanding export exceeding 100 million dollars in 2003. |

| Boshan has plenty of tourism resources. There are 8 great historical places and 200 scenic spots, which collectively made the district called the 'Garden of Zibo'. There are also high mountains and lush forests and several forest parks producing beautiful legendary scenery the district has to offer. Boshan abounds in rich culture and history, with numerous scenic spots and places of historical importance. It is also home to many legendary characters from the ancient times, and Yan Wenjiang Ancestral Hall is where one can appreciate the historical vestiges still remaining.
Boshan has convenient transportation facilities, being close to the Qingdao port eastwards and to the Jinan International Airport westwards. There are also many roads leading to Boshan District and the structure of the civil facilities is complete and functional, all contributing to the district's fame and comfort for living. |
